Easter Laundry Stain Guide

Easter is a wonderful time for celebrations with family and of course eating lots of chocolate. This weekend, enjoy your Easter fun without any worries! Here are some useful tips for removing some common Easter-related stains from clothing.

Chocolate
We can’t talk about Easter without talking about chocolate. If you encounter this mishap, put the chocolate covered piece of clothing in your refrigerator for 10-20 minutes to contain the stain and prevent the chocolate from penetrating the fabric any further. Once the chocolate has hardened, you can carefully scrape away the excess. Mix hot water and Oxygen Brightener Stain Remover, and use the paste to pre-treat your garment. Wash your clothing according to the care instructions and if the stain is still present after the first wash then pre-treat and wash it again.

Acrylic Paint
Painted eggs; while a fun activity with the kids, those bright paint colors are bound to get everywhere. Fortunately, these stains are easy to remove.

To begin removing your stain, place it under cold running water to flush-out the acrylic paint. Leave your garment under the running water until it begins to run clear. Then, make a paste of hot water and Oxygen Brightener Stain Remover – place an ample amount of the paste onto your stain and leave it for 15 minutes. Finally, wash your item with a Clean People Detergent Sheet or Pod.

Some stains may take several attempts, do not dry your garment until you are sure the stain has been removed. You can continue to treat the stain 2-3 times until successful, washing between each treatment.

Juice, Jams, and Jellies
Apply a thick paste of Oxygen Brightener Stain Remover and hot water. Allow to sit for 30 minutes and rinse on the hottest water safe for your garment. Wash as normal, repeat as needed.

Grass
Grass stains are inevitable when it comes to Easter outdoor fun. Soak your stained garment in cold water for 15 minutes. Then, make a paste of hot water and Oxygen Brightener Stain Remover and gently rub it onto the stain. Let the paste sit for another 15 minutes, then wash your item as you usually would.

For smaller, every-day stains – CLEAN PEOPLE Stain Spray is your go-to!

When stains happen on the go, wet stain then apply Stain Spray generously, saturating the area then work in with fingers. Let sit for a few minutes. Rinse or blot with a damp cloth. Repeat until the stain is worked out!

If you are at home, rinse the stain with cool water. Apply Stain Spray directly on to stain until thoroughly saturated. Allow the Stain Spray to sit for 10-15 minutes then wash normally.

And remember – always read product labels and clothing care labels before taking action!
